• token — keeps you signed in. Set when you sign in, cleared when you sign out.
• vid — a random visitor ID containing no personal detail. Used to count visitors in aggregate and to remember which version of our terms you accepted.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Because these cookies are essential, there is nothing here to switch off — turning them off would simply stop the site working.
