This Cookie Policy explains how Bountee.io ("we", "us" and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website, what each one is for, and how long it lasts. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
The short version: every cookie we set is strictly necessary for the site to function, and none is used for advertising. The one exception to “only us” is Google sign-in, which is explained in Section 6.
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to site owners. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, can store small amounts of data in the same way; those are covered in Section 4 below.
A first-party cookie is set by the site you are visiting. A third-party cookie is set by someone else, such as an advertising network. Every cookie described in this policy is first-party.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary, we do not ask for your consent to set them — but we do have to tell you about them, which is what this page is for. There is nothing to switch off: without them the site cannot sign you in or function correctly.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies from third parties, social media pixels, or any cross-site tracking technology. No advertising network receives data from this site, and we do not sell or share your browsing behaviour with anyone.
As well as the cookies above, we store a small amount of information in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.

We record pageviews so we can understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. This is deliberately built so that it cannot identify you: the records are never linked to your account, IP addresses are shortened before they are stored so they no longer point to an individual, and whether you were signed in is stored only as a yes/no flag, never as an identity. The information is only ever used as totals — for example, how many people visited on a given day.
Because this measurement is first-party, anonymous, aggregate-only, and kept for a limited period, it does not require your consent. We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service.
We offer the option to sign in with Google. To make that button work, our sign-in page loads a script from Google, and this happens whenever the sign-in page or sign-in window is opened — not only if you go on to use the button. As a result Google receives your IP address and basic browser information at that point, and may set or read its own cookies on its own domain.
This is the only place a third party is involved in anything we store on your device. It is not advertising or tracking on our behalf, we receive no data from Google as a result of it, and it happens only on our sign-in page. Google's use of any data it collects is governed by Google's own privacy policy. If you never open the sign-in page, this does not apply to you.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings — every major browser lets you do this, usually under “Privacy” or “Site data”. Clearing your browser data will also remove the local storage entries listed in Section 4.
Please note that because our cookies are strictly necessary, blocking them will stop you being able to sign in and parts of the site will not work.
Marketing emails are separate from cookies. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter we send, or through your account settings.
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this page always shows when it was last revised. If we ever introduce a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before setting it.
