Bountee is a task marketplace that connects people who need something done (posters) with people who can do it (claimers). A poster creates a bountee describing the task and the reward they'll pay; a claimer picks it up, completes the work, and gets paid.
Sign in, choose 'Post Bountee', and follow the three-step form: task details (title, description, type, optional images), location (in-person with a map pin, or online-only), and payment (a reward between £5 and £100, in GBP or EUR, paid by card or cash). Once you submit, your bountee goes live for others to apply to.
For card bountees, we place a hold on your card when you post - you're not charged yet. When you approve the completed work, the hold is captured (you're charged the full reward) and the claimer is paid. For cash bountees, you pay the claimer directly in person; the platform just records the task and never handles the money.
Yes, a small platform fee applies to card bountees, taken from the claimer's payout - never added on top of what you pay. The standard fee is 2% of the reward, or 1% if you joined via a referral. As the poster you always pay the full reward; the claimer receives the reward minus the fee. Cash bountees have no platform fee. Example: on a £100 card bountee (standard rate), you're charged £100 and the claimer receives £98.
Sign in and browse available bountees. When you find one that fits, apply - optionally with a short message. If the poster selects you, the bountee is yours to work on. When you're done, submit proof (at least one photo) for the poster to review and approve.
When a claimer submits proof, you review it before approving. If it isn't right, you can choose 'Request More Proof' to send the bountee back to the claimer for additional evidence - there's no limit on how many times you can ask. Once the poster approves the completed work on a card bountee, the claimer is paid the reward minus the platform fee. For cash bountees, the poster pays the claimer directly in person.
A poster can cancel a bountee while it's still open (Posted) or after it's been claimed but before proof has been submitted. For card bountees, cancelling releases the hold on your card, so you're not charged. Once proof has been submitted, the bountee continues through to completion and can't be cancelled.
